Howdy Folks,
I'm Karl, thanks for visiting. I've lived in the San Francisco Bay Area of California for the past 7 years, and love the area almost as much as I love traveling. Every weekend that you don't find me traveling to some far off place, I'm usually making a day trip to somewhere within earshot of San Francisco. With all the trips I've made over the years, I thought I'd share my experiences of the really great trips the bay area has to offer.
I'm hoping to make this site a resource for both locals and visitors to the bay area alike, so if you see anything I can improve or trips to suggest please let me know. I'm including any trips that can easily be done in a weekend, as there are a lot of wonderful overnight trips in addition to day trips, but I'll be clear if I'm talking about an overnight trip rather than a true day trip. Also, if you're a local or a traveler without a car, you're in luck, the bay area has a top notch public transportation system, and I'm highlighting some of the trips that can be easily done via the the public transportation system.
Lastly, if you want to go somewhere but are at loss for ideas, click the "Please take me anywhere!" button and throw your self at my whim, it'll be a random trip, but it's bound to be a good one!
